A course-only school without credit plans
A school that only sells blocks, or blocks plus classes paid per visit. What to set up, what to skip, and what dancers see.
For owners and managers
Plenty of schools sell only blocks: ten weeks, paid once. Dansly doesn't need credit plans for that. A new school starts with none, and you never have to create one.
Who: owners and managers.
What to set up#
- Courses, each with its own Price (€). The price is the whole block, paid at enrolment. Type 0 for a free course. See Course editor.
- Your Cancellations: mainly A block: free cancellation until.
- Optionally Catch-ups, Try-out classes and Discount codes for Course blocks.
The full path from a new account is Set up a course school.
What to skip#
- Credit plans under Plans & codes. Leave the top card empty. Discount codes, in the same page, still work.
- Credits as a price on any class.
Extra classes without plans#
You can still run open classes (a practica, a workshop, a social) without credit plans. Price each one:
- Per class: dancers pay that price when they book.
- Free: nobody pays.
A class priced in Credits can't be published while you have no plan for sale, so you won't create one by accident.
What changes on screen#
With no plans:
- dancers never see a plan to buy, or a credit count;
- Members has no Open classes tab and no plan filter; the Plan column shows Course only with the course, or No plan;
- Payments shows course blocks, and single visits or try-outs if you sell them.
Adding plans later#
If you start selling classes by the month later, create a plan under Plans & codes and price those classes in credits. Courses stay as they are: credits never pay for courses, and an Unlimited plan doesn't include them. See G07: Credit plans.
