Discount code is refused
A dancer types a code and it doesn't work. Every message Dansly can show, what it means, and what to change.
For owners and managers
When a code doesn't apply, the checkout says why, next to the code field. Find the message below. Codes are checked in this order, and the first reason wins.
| Message | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "We do not know that code." | No code with those letters at your school. Capitals don't matter; spelling and hyphens do. | Check the spelling against Plans & codes. |
| "EARLYBIRD is no longer available." | You turned it off. | Turn back on, if it should work. |
| "WELKOM starts on 1 October." | Before its From date. | Change From, or wait. |
| "ZOMER25 ended on 31 August." | After its Until (and including) date. | Change Until. |
| "EARLYBIRD is not for credit plans." | They're buying something the code doesn't cover: Course blocks, Credit plans or Single visits. | Tick that kind on the code. |
| "EARLYBIRD is for Salsa · Beginners 1." | The code is for one block only, and this is another. | Choose Any course block. |
| "LIGHT10 is for the Light plan." | The code is for one plan only. | Choose Any credit plan. |
| "EARLYBIRD is for booking a course block ahead of time." | The code has Only when enrolling this many days ahead, and this isn't a course. | Nothing wrong: early-bird codes only work on courses. |
| "EARLYBIRD is for enrolling 21 days ahead. This block starts in 12 days." | Too close to the block's first lesson. | Lower the number of days, or accept it. |
| "WELKOM is for your first booking with us." | Newcomers only, and they've paid you before. | Nothing wrong, or change Who can use it to Anyone. |
| "WELKOM is for your first credit plan." | First of a kind, and they've bought this kind before. | As above. |
| "EARLYBIRD has been used its 50 times." | Uses in total is reached. | Raise it. |
| "You have already used EARLYBIRD." | Uses per dancer is 1, and they've used it. | Raise Uses per dancer. |
| "You have used EARLYBIRD as often as it allows." | Uses per dancer is reached. | Raise it. |
Newcomers and try-outs#
A paid try-out doesn't count as a "first booking". Someone who paid €10 to try a class can still use a Newcomers code on the block afterwards: that's what newcomer codes are for.
Free places your team gave them don't count either. Only things they paid for do.
Codes don't apply to#
- Try-outs. Their price is set under Try-out classes.
- A second code: one code per purchase.
A code that takes off more than the price#
The price stops at zero. A €20 code on a €14 class makes it free.
Check what a code has done#
The code list on Plans & codes shows how often each code has been used, and a badge when it isn't working: Not yet, Ended, Used up or Off. To see the payments made with it, open Payments and choose the code's tab.
