4-credit, 8-credit and Unlimited plans

Sell three monthly credit plans for your open classes, and see what happens with weekly limits, running out, carry-over and retiring a plan.

For owners and managers

Outcome: three monthly plans dancers can buy to book your open classes. Light (4 credits, 1 class a week), Regular (8 credits, 2 a week) and Unlimited.

Who can do this: owners and managers, on the web.

Before you start: credit plans only pay for open classes priced in credits. If you only run courses, you don't need any; see Credit plans.

Decide first#

PlanCredits a monthMax a weekPrice (example)
Light41€45
Regular (Most picked)82€80
UnlimitedUnlimited—€120

Two school-wide choices:

  • At the end of the month: expire or carry over. Studio Voorbeeld carries over, at most 4.
  • Plans a dancer can buy each month: Studio Voorbeeld allows 1.

Steps#

  1. In the sidebar, open Plans & codes. Under Credit plans, choose + New plan.
  2. Name it Light, price 45, Credits a month 4, Max a week 1.
  3. + New plan again: Regular, 80, 8 credits, max 2 a week, and tick Most picked.
  4. + New plan: Unlimited, 120, and tick Unlimited.
  5. Under How credits behave, choose Credits carry over and set Carry over at most to 4. Set Plans a dancer can buy each month to 1.
  6. Save changes.
  7. Price a class in credits: open an open class, choose Credits under How it's paid for, and set Credits to book to 1. Studio Voorbeeld's Salsa practice and Salsa Open are both 1 credit.

What dancers see#

  • On a credit class, a dancer without a plan is told "This class is paid with credits, and you have none this month." and offered See the plans. They pick a plan at checkout, and the class uses their first credit.
  • With a plan, the class shows what it costs ("1 credit") and the button reads Book. Their booking shows how many credits are left this month.
  • A plan covers the calendar month it's bought in. It doesn't renew: next month they buy again.

The limits, with examples#

Yara is on Light (4 credits, 1 a week), and booked Wednesday's practice.

  • Yara tries Sunday's Salsa Open the same week. Book is greyed out: "You have used your classes for this week.", with "You have used 1 of 1 this week, so a credit cannot go on this one. Your monthly balance stays at 3, and the weekly maximum resets on Monday."
  • A class with Counts towards a member's weekly maximum turned off, for example an extra practice night, doesn't count against that limit.
  • When credits run out, the sheet says "No credits left this month." Another plan is bought under Payments → Buy another month. With Plans a dancer can buy each month at 1, Yara can't buy another plan until the 1st.
  • If you limit a class to some plans (Plans allowed on the class), a dancer on another plan is told "Your plan does not include this class."

Month end#

With carry-over at most 4, Fleur (Regular, 3 credits left on the last day) keeps those 3 into next month, and they stack on top of Fleur's next plan. With 6 left, 4 would carry and 2 would expire. With Credits expire, unused credits are gone on the 1st.

Retiring a plan#

Select it and choose Remove plan. If nobody ever bought it, it's deleted. If it's been bought, the button reads Stop selling it: the plan disappears from sale, and everyone who has it keeps their credits for the rest of the month. Nothing happens until Save changes.

Check it worked#

  • The Credit plans card shows your three plans and how many members are on each.
  • No warning at the top. A warning means nobody can spend the plans (no published class in credits), or nobody can buy one.
  • On a running credit class, Who can book it now lists your plans.

If it doesn't work#

See Credit exists but booking fails: the weekly limit, a plan the class doesn't allow, a clash with another booking, or booking not open yet.
