No catch-up choices appear
A course dancer missed a week but sees no Catch up button, or the list is empty. Work through these checks in order.
For owners and managers
No Catch up button at all#
- Catch-ups are on for the school? Catch-ups → Let dancers catch up a missed week.
- This course takes part? The course's Missed weeks here can be caught up elsewhere, and this group takes catch-ups must be on.
- Did they tell you in time? The week only counts if they reported it before the class started: Can't come → Release it on the course page, or Notify absence on the class itself. Not turning up, or being marked absent afterwards, earns nothing. Staff marking them absent on the register before class counts.
- Was the week cancelled by the school? A cancelled week doesn't earn a catch-up.
- Is the window still open? How long they have counts either side of the missed week. After that, the week is gone.
- Limit reached? How many they may catch up is per dancer, per block. A catch-up they didn't turn up to counts; one they cancelled doesn't.
"Nothing at your level covers that week yet."#
The button is there, but no class fits. For each possible class, check:
- Kind: only courses and open classes of the kind Class count. Workshops and events never do.
- Where: What counts as a catch-up allows courses, open classes, or both.
- Level: with The same level only, the class must be on the same step. A class set to Any level always fits. Try One level either side if your groups are spread out.
- Style: with Only classes in the same style, a bachata class can't cover a salsa week.
- Opted out: the other course's catch-up switch must be on too.
- Dates: only classes inside the window, still to come.
- Clashes: classes at a time they're already booked, or courses they're already in, are left out.
- Full: if Limit how far over the cap is on, a class already over by that many on their role is still listed, but choosing it is refused: "This class is as full as it can get."
